Media Advisory - Health Minister to make patient safety announcement

    TORONTO, Sept. 25 /CNW/ - Health and Long-Term Care Minister David Caplan
will be making an important announcement on the McGuinty government's latest
steps to improve patient safety in hospitals. Joining the minister will be Dr.
Michael Baker, the Executive Lead on Patient Safety; and Mark Rochon, board
chair of the Ontario Hospital Association.

    Note: The first reported rates of C. difficile as collected from
hospitals across the province will go live on the ministry's website at the
same time as this announcement. Hard copies of the hospital data will also be
made available at the announcement.
