    OTTAWA, Feb. 20 /CNW Telbec/ - Public and private sector leaders discuss
ways of establishing a national coordinated approach to cutting carbon
emissions at the GHG Reduction Initiatives Forum, hosted by The Conference
Board of Canada, February 23 - 24, in Ottawa.

            Foundation, will discuss the benefits of aligning Canadian energy
            policies with climate change policies, at 9:15 a.m., Monday.

            The Hon. Ron Stevens, Deputy Premier and Alberta Minister of
            International and Intergovernmental Relations, will outline
            Alberta's position in Canada's carbon reduction challenges, at
            12:45 p.m., Monday.

            David Hunter, Director, U.S. Policy, International Emissions
            Trading Association, United States, will discuss why Canada
            should be prepared for a unified North American approach and make
            the case for a federal greenhouse gas offsets program and, at
            2:00 p.m., Tuesday.
