    Family Emergency Forces Bundesbank President to Cancel Canadian Speech

    TORONTO, March 15 /CNW/ - The European Union Chamber of Commerce in
Toronto (EUCOCIT) regrets to announce that Professor Axel Weber, President,
Deutsche Bundesbank, has been forced to cancel a joint appearance with Mr.
Christian Noyer, Governor, Banque de France in Toronto on Monday, March 17 to
deal with an urgent family matter.
    The lunchtime presentation (at approximately 12:45 p.m.) entitled
"Economic Outlook 2008 - The Global Economy: Perspectives from Europe" will
continue with expanded comments from Governor Noyer.
    The event is taking place at the Toronto Board of Trade (1 First Canadian
Place) and is presented by European Union Chamber of Commerce in Toronto
(EUCOCIT), the Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the French
Chamber of Commerce in Canada (Toronto).
