Media Advisory - FEDERATION CJA promises to Work Green

    MONTREAL, June 2 /CNW Telbec/ - FEDERATION CJA invites the media to
attend the special launch of a comprehensive initiative to turn Montreal's
Jewish Community Campus into an eco-friendly space. The event will be at the
Gelber Conference Centre, 1 Cummings Square, Thursday June 5 at 10:00 a.m.
Speakers will include Stephen Bronfman, an environmental philanthropist,
Michael Applebaum, Mayor of Côte-des-Neiges/Notre-Dame-de-Grace, and Marc
Gold, President of FEDERATION CJA.
    The launch of the initiative - Work Green - highlights accomplishments to
date and the proposed journey toward a more sustainable building. Over the
past two years, alone, FEDERATION CJA has adopted measures that have reduced
electricity consumption by 20% at its Cummings House headquarters. By the end
of September, it will seek the Go Green certification of the Building Owners
and Managers Association (BOMA), which is recognized as industry best
practices in resource consumption, waste reduction and recycling, and employee
    FEDERATION CJA and its partner agencies hope to provide "Green"
leadership within the Jewish and general community with this exciting new
initiative. By adopting Work Green, FEDERATION CJA is living up to its
commitment of building a better future for the community.
