MONTREAL, Aug. 6 /CNW Telbec/ - Electronic Arts, leading videogame
publisher and maker of hit video games such as NHL 07, Rock Band, and the Need
for Speed and The Sims series, invites the news media to the launch party of
Boogie, a new and innovative music-based videogame for the Wii. Gamers of all
ages can sing and dance to hit music from the past four decades using the
game's packed-in microphone and the Wii's unique controls.
Two tents with demo stations will be set up on the esplanade of
Place Ville-Marie facing McGill College Avenue at Cathcart Street. Hot dogs,
hamburgers, chips, cotton candy and soft drinks will be made available for all
to enjoy. Media will receive a VIP pass giving access to free food, drinks and
one free copy of the game.
Along with the game producers and leads, Mr. Alain Tascan, Vice-President
and Montreal studio General Manager, will be on-hand for interviews and a demo
of the game.
Boogie is the latest addition to EA Montreal's roster of high profile
games including SSX(TM) Blur and ARMY OF TWO(TM). ARMY OF TWO, the highly
anticipated shooter, is shipping in November and is an original intellectual
property that will redefine strategic two-man cooperative play. The game was
ranked at the top of the list in Electronic Gaming Monthly's Top 50 Coolest
New Games cover story last year. ARMY OF TWO will be released for the
