Join winners for a night of celebration at annual reception
TORONTO, May 8 /CNW/ - The Diabetes Hope Foundation is celebrating its
Evening of Hope, an exciting annual scholarship awards reception event that
recognizes the outstanding achievements of young adults living with diabetes.
This year, scholarships will be awarded to 31 students from across Ontario.
Through the generous support of Aubrey Dan and Dancap Productions Inc.,
2009 Scholarship Recipients will celebrate on Monday, May 11th at The Toronto
Centre for the Arts, Main Stage. Taking place on the set of Toronto's smash
hit musical Jersey Boys this award ceremony takes its inspiration from the
Tony Award winning production, the theme of this years award ceremony is
Achieving Dreams. Special guests will include Stephen Steele, Air Canada
Captain, who was the first insulin-dependent pilot in the world to fly as
captain of a passenger airliner.
The Diabetes Hope Foundation assists children and adolescents in their
endeavours to achieve full potential in education, self-management and future
