CALGARY, Aug. 5 /CNW/ - The 40th WorldSkills Competition to be held in
Calgary, Canada on September 1 to 7, 2009 will be the city's largest
international competitive event since the 1988 Olympic Winter Games. This
international Competition focuses attention on 900 of the best skill, trade
and technology professionals under the age of 23, from 51 Member
countries/regions, competing against each other in 45 skill categories.
To cover this event on site, and gain access to the media areas and
facilities, accreditation is required to obtain identification/credentials. To
facilitate this, media are invited to register now.

The Media Centre located at Stampede Park in the Agriculture Building
will offer equipment and staff resources to enable accredited media to cover
the event effectively and efficiently. Off-site media will also be encouraged

the Media Centre directly.
