Media Advisory - Daily Bread kicks off the Holiday Food Drive

    Goal of 1 million pounds set to make up for fall drive's shortfall

    TORONTO, Nov. 29 /CNW/ -

    WHAT:  Daily Bread Food Bank kicks off the annual Holiday Food Drive
           urging Toronto to give generously during the festive season. Last
           year over 905,000 people accessed a food bank in the GTA and 34%
           of those clients were children.

           Gail Nyberg will discuss trends in poverty and food bank use
           across the GTA and will remind the public how easy it is to
           donate. Also on hand will be youth volunteers from St. Patrick
           Catholic Secondary School to remind people what kinds of
           nutritious, non-perishable food donations Daily Bread Food Bank is
           looking for.
