Media Advisory - City of Toronto to announce labour disruption contingency plans

    TORONTO, June 16 /CNW/ - The City of Toronto remains at the bargaining
table with the Toronto Civic Employees' Union Local 416 (CUPE) and the
Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 79 with the goal of reaching a
negotiated settlement. Both unions will be in a legal strike position as of
12:01 a.m. on June 22, 2009.
    The City of Toronto will announce its contingency plan tomorrow.
