Media Advisory - City of Pickering Celebrates Communities in Bloom Victory

    PICKERING, ON, Oct. 25 /CNW/ - The City of Pickering will be celebrating
its recent win at the 2007 Communities in Bloom Awards Conference with a
recognition event at Pickering Town Centre.
    In September, the City of Pickering was presented with Five Blooms - the
highest rating awarded by Communities in Bloom. As well, Pickering won the
Environmental Awareness Award for its work in Sustainability. To celebrate,
the City of Pickering will recognize its sponsors, participants and volunteers
for their winning efforts.
    In addition, Pickering has recruited a pair of popular television
personalities to help thank and recognize the participants. Mark Dailey,
CityTV anchor, will be emceeing the event, while Denis Flanagan of HGTV will
be the featured speaker.
