Media Advisory - Children's Wish grants more than 10 wishes in Nova Scotia in May

    HALIFAX, May 28 /CNW/ -

    WHAT:  The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada has granted more than 18
           wishes since April to children in Nova Scotia who have been
           diagnosed with a high-risk illness. These wishes range from a
           personal computer or a home theatre system, to travel or a meeting
           with a celebrity.

    WHO:   Some of the children that were granted wishes include:

           Laura from Amherst who had a Heart Transplant
           Haley from Aylesford who has Wilms Tumour
           Kyler from Barrington who has Congenital Heart disease
           Laura from Bedford who has Metachromatic Leukodystrophy
           Rebecca from Eskasoni who has Fallot Pulmonary Atresia
           Adam from Halifax who has Spina Bifida
           Logan from Kingston who has Wilms Tumour
           Julia from Hammond's Plains who has Anaplastic Large Cell
           Janel from Lower Sackville who has Lupus
           Kelsey from Lunenburg who has Brain Tumour
           Destiny from New Glasgow has Congenital Heart Disease
           MacKenzie from New Minas who has severe Hemophilia
           Melanie from Dartmouth who has Synovial Sarcoma
           Joel from Pictou who had a Kidney Transplant
           Christina from Richmond County who has Acute Lymphoblastic
           Spencer from Stellarton who has Congenital Heart Disease
           Nicole from Stillwater Laker who has Tubersclerosis with Tumours
           Hayes from Sydney who has been diagnosed with Pulmonary Atresia
