Media Advisory - Centennial College's 'Show and Shine' marks 40 years of automotive training

TORONTO, June 8 /CNW/ - Centennial College's School of Transportation is
hosting its third annual "Show and Shine" cruise day this Sunday, June 10 from
11 am to 4 pm at Ashtonbee Campus in Scarborough. This year's outdoor event
marks the 40th anniversary of Canada's largest transportation training centre.
Centennial graduates, employees and members of the public will be showing
off their vintage, custom and newer tuner cars, trucks and motorcycles. If it
rolls on two or more wheels, you'll find it here. The day will feature a
barbecue, DJ and live band, gift bags, show prizes and plaques.
Mohamed Bouchama of CP24's AutoShop will be on hand to answer questions
about new and used vehicles. In addition, visitors can tour the automotive and
truck labs at Centennial, where one-half of Ontario's automotive technicians
receive their training and skills upgrading. Professors will be demonstrating
air bag explosions throughout the day.
Show and Shine is free to the public. Ashtonbee Campus is located at
75 Ashtonbee Road, one block north of Eglinton Ave. East and just west of
Warden Ave. in Scarborough.
