MEDIA ADVISORY - Canadian Olympic Team to Name 2010 Assistant Chefs de Mission

    VANCOUVER, Feb. 13 /CNW/ - The Canadian Olympic Team will make a formal
announcement regarding Canada's Assistant Chefs de Mission for the 2010
Olympic Winter Games next Tuesday, February 17 in Vancouver. The press
conference comes as part of the one-year countdown festivities.
    The two Assistant Chefs are individuals with strong ties to their
respective sports and whose athletic accomplishments are matched by their
continued passion for sport in Canada.
    They will join Nathalie Lambert - Chef de Mission and three-time Olympic
medallist in short track speed skating - in leading Team Canada into
Vancouver, Whistler and Richmond one year from now. Their primary role will be
to work alongside Lambert in supporting and promoting Team Canada, and
coordinating Canada's participation in the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
