Media Advisory - Canadian Olympic Committee to Provide Live Webcasts of Toronto and Montreal News Conferences on Wednesday, January 30 goes live at 10:30 a.m. EST

    TORONTO, Jan. 28 /CNW/ - The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) today
announced it will provide live webcasts of its simultaneous news conferences
in Toronto and Montreal when it unveils details surrounding the Canadian
Amateur Sports Network (CASN) and le Réseau du sport amateur canadien (RSAC)
on Wednesday, January 30, at 10:30 a.m. EST.
    Members of the media, sport federation and association members, and sport
enthusiasts can visit to catch live coverage of either event
from the University of Toronto or Montreal's Olympic Stadium. The COC has
applied to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission
(CRTC) for groundbreaking English and French amateur sport television
    The proposed national networks would provide much-needed exposure and
funding for both winter and summer sport.
