The Relay For Life is a unique community event
which takes place from dusk till dawn

walk and relay around a track to raise money for
                          the fight against cancer.

Why at night? Because cancer never sleeps!

The Relay For Life events feature people. They are an opportunity to
paytribute to loved ones who have lost their battle
against cancer, support those living with cancer and honour those who
have won the battle. All Relay For Life events also comprise fun
activities, entertainment and moving moments to share with family,
                           friends and colleagues.

                              and Viau Street).

Various Relay For Life spokespersons, as well as men and women
living with cancer or in remission will be available for interviews.

Camera crews and photographers are invited on site to capture the
event: a tent village in a festive setting, special ceremonies and other
                          activities are scheduled.

    - The Survivors' Victory Lap (7.30 p.m.): the first lap around the track
kicks off each Relay and is reserved for men and women with cancer or
      in remission.

    - Another powerful moment during the event is the Luminary Ceremony:
after sunset (9.30 p.m.), hundreds of candles are lit in honour of
cancer survivors and in memory of those who have lost their battle
      against cancer.
