    TORONTO, Sept. 9 /CNW/ - Natural and organic products have become
increasingly popular as Canadians look for better ways to manage their health.
Research company Ipsos-Reid reported in 2005 that a majority of Canadians
agree natural health products can be used to maintain and promote health (77%)
or treat illness (68%) and that seven in 10 Canadians (71%) have ever used a
natural health product.
    With retail sales of natural health products at $2.5 billion in 2005 and
retail sales of "certified organic" food in Canada surpassing more than
$1 billion in 2006, the natural and organic product industry is a dynamic and
changing one.
    The Canadian Health Food Association presents Canada's largest conference
and trade show for the natural and organic products industry September 11-14.
