Media Advisory - Campaign 2000 to Release Report Card on Child Poverty in Canada - 2007 Report comes out November 26 in Ottawa

    TORONTO, Nov. 22 /CNW Telbec/ - Campaign 2000 will release its annual
Report Card on Child and Family Poverty in Ottawa on Monday, November 26th.
Federal party leaders have been invited to be present at the press conference.
    The 2007 report, entitled It Takes a Nation to Raise a Generation,
presents the latest statistics on child and family poverty, and
recommendations for all political parties. It will be released November 26,
10:00 a.m. Charles Lynch Press Conference Room (130S) on Parliament Hill to
mark the 18th anniversary of the unanimous House of Commons resolution to end
child poverty in Canada by 2000.

Provincial report cards on child poverty are also being released on
November 26th in British Columbia, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and a
fact sheet in Alberta.

    Campaign 2000 is a non-partisan, cross-Canada network of 120 national,
provincial and community partner organizations committed to working to end
child poverty in Canada.
