conference on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 to release the findings of a comprehensive
survey of the overall performance of the BC mining industry in 2008.
Representatives of the province's mining industry will join PwC to discuss the
survey findings and implications.

This annual, independent survey of the financial results and economic
impact of BC's mining industry has been the definitive industry report for 41
years. It is prepared in cooperation with the Mining Association of BC (MABC)
and the Association for Mineral Exploration BC (AME BC).
The news conference will be hosted by Michael Cinnamond, Partner, PwC BC
Mining Practice. The findings of PwC's survey will be presented by Erfan
Kazemi, Manager, PwC Mining Practice.
Pierre Gratton, President and CEO, MABC, Gavin Dirom, President and CEO
of AME BC, and Dave Sharples, Chair, Mining Suppliers Association of BC, will
provide an industry perspective on the report's findings.
