Media advisory - Assembly of First Nations National Chief Asks the Public To Help Find Missing Teens

    OTTAWA, Oct. 3 /CNW Telbec/ - National Chief Phil Fontaine will call on
the public tomorrow to provide any information to police that could help them
find two First Nations youth who are missing from the Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg
First Nation near Maniwaki, Quebec. Maisy Odjick and Shannon Alexander have
been missing from Kitigan Zibi since Sept. 5, 2008. Family members will also
be present.

    When:    Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 9:00 am

    Where:   AFN office - 473 Albert Street, Ottawa

    The National Chief will also be attending the "Sisters in Spirit" Vigil
on Parliament Hill following the press conference. The vigil is meant to
remember the missing and murdered Aboriginal women.

    The Assembly of First Nations is the national organization representing
First Nations people in Canada.
