Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and as Atlantic Canada's Official
Supporter of the 2010 Winter Games, Aliant is hosting John Furlong on a four
stop Atlantic Canadian tour from November 4-7, 2008 with visits to Moncton,
NB, Halifax, NS, St. John's, NL, and Charlottetown, PE.

Helena Cain, Aliant's VP Enterprise Business Solutions will host John
Furlong, CEO of VANOC, who will deliver the keynote address. Mr. Furlong will
share his views on the inspiration that can be drawn from the Olympic and
Paralympic movements, and will be available for interviews.

Elementary Schools with the 2010 Winter Games Mascots
Aliant Customer Service Manager, Pascal Deschamps will be joined by
Olympic and Paralympic athletes: Fredericton's Dave Durepos - silver medalist
(Beijing 2008), and two-time gold medalist (Athens 2004 and Sydney 2000) in
Wheelchair Basketball, and Moncton's Russ Howard, Olympic curling gold
medalist (Torino 2006) will host the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic
mascots - Miga, Sumi, and Quatchi - at Beaverbrook Elementary. Together they
will share the Olympic spirit of the 2010 Winter Games with 210 staff and
children onsite at the school.
