Media Advisory - 42nd Annual Police Officer of the Year Award

    TORONTO, June 2 /CNW/ - This Thursday evening, The Toronto Board of Trade
will host the 42nd Annual Police Officer of the Year Award ceremony. This
year's winner will be announced from among a group of 20 nominees.
    These awards honour the officers of the Toronto Police Service who have
demonstrated exceptional skill, bravery, compassion and a deep commitment to
making Toronto one of the safest cities in the world.
    This year's master of ceremonies will be Dwight Drummond, CityNews Crime
Specialist. The evening will feature remarks from Police Chief Bill Blair and
a keynote address by Paul Dennis, Player Development Coach for the Toronto
Maple Leafs.

    Date: Thursday, June 4, 2009
    Time: 6 p.m.

    Place: Toronto Board of Trade, 1 First Canadian Place
