2007 National Consultation on Career Development: Developing Careers Today,
Monday, March 19, to Wednesday, March 21.
Who: Sareena Hopkins, Co-Executive Director, Canadian Career
Development Foundation, and Allison Rougeau, Executive Director,
Canadian Apprenticeship Forum-Forum canadien sur l'apprentissage,
will discuss the importance of career development for individuals
and organizations in the global war for talent, at 8:30 a.m.,
Ingrid van Weert, Executive Director, The Holmes Foundation, will
profile the Holmes Foundation's work in promoting careers in the
skilled trades (founded by television personality Mike Holmes),
at 7:30 a.m., Tuesday.
Michael Bloom, Vice-President, Organizational Effectiveness and
Learning, The Conference Board of Canada, and Bonnie Kennedy,
Executive Director, Canadian Association for Prior Learning
Assessment, will discuss the benefits of recognizing learning and
prior learning systems, at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday.
