MedEmerg International Inc. signs $1.4 million contract with the Ontario Hospital Association

    TORONTO, Sept. 25 /CNW/ - Med-Emerg International Inc. (OTC BB: MDER)
announced today it has signed a $1.4 million (all amounts CDN$ unless
otherwise stated) contract with the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) on
behalf of the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
    Under the terms of the agreement, MedEmerg has been contracted to
coordinate and implement the team integration and building aspects of
Ontario's Physician Assistants' Initiative. MedEmerg will conduct baseline
assessments of team effectiveness, team development in-service education
sessions, and follow-up assessments of team effectiveness to 39 clinical units
in 25 hospitals. Ongoing liaison, continuing support and closing focus group
meetings will also be provided. The contract extends over a sixteen month
    MedEmerg specializes in the coordination and delivery of health care
services in Canada. These services include community-based infusion centers,
an integrated chronic pain management program, health care consulting, and
health human resource management, including physician and nurse staffing.
