MedcomSoft Establishes Healthcare Advisory Board, Announces Inaugural Member Robert I. Kramer, MD

    ATLANTA, November 12 /CNW/ - MedcomSoft(R) Inc., (TSX:MSF) a provider of
the next generation of interoperable electronic health records (EHRs),
announced today that Robert I. Kramer, MD, a nationally prominent physician
and healthcare business leader, has joined the MedcomSoft Healthcare Advisory
Board. Members of the board will provide guidance on a number of corporate
programs, including product enhancements and strategic marketing. Additional
MedcomSoft Healthcare Advisory Board members will be drawn from academia,
industry and the private sector.

position in pediatric medicine. He exemplifies the caliber of the individuals

    A valued consultant to several of the nation's leading corporate and
non-profit institutions, Dr. Kramer brings a wealth of experience to his new
role at MedcomSoft. Dr. Kramer was one of the first Pediatric Pulmonologists
in the Southwest and served for 28 years as Clinical Professor of Pediatrics
and Pulmonology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He was
also the Medical Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Research Center, a founding
partner of the largest private pediatric practice in Dallas, and the former
Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor University Medical Center.

    Educated at Brown, Tufts, Yale and the University of Texas Southwestern,
Dr. Kramer's distinguished career in clinical medicine was followed by an
equally distinguished career in business. He received an Executive MBA at the
Harvard Business School and became Medical Director of Health Care Consulting
Services at Coopers and Lybrand (now Pricewaterhouse/Coopers). In 1998, he
formed a healthcare consulting company, DecisionHealth LLC, and its
subsidiary, Physician for the Arts. Among his corporate clients are NCH
Corporation, Texas Industries, Perot Systems, Brinker International, Club Corp
and Affiliated Computer Systems (ACS).

    In addition to the MedcomSoft Healthcare Advisory Board, Dr. Kramer
presently serves on the boards of the Texas Healthcare, Bioscience Institute,
Patton Surgical Inc and Torquin LLC. He is also the Senior Medical Advisor of
NTEC (The North Texas Biotechnology Center), serves on the Scientific Advisory
Committee of the Department of Biomedical Engineering of UT Austin, Fellow IC2
Institute of UT Austin, the Chair of Scientific Advisory Committee of Seno
Medical Systems and the Chief Medical Officer of Tela Doc Inc.

    His involvement with healthcare industry groups is similarly extensive.
Dr. Kramer is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and its Section
of Pulmonology, the American College of Physician Executives, The Texas
Medical Association, the Texas Pediatric Society, and the Dallas County
Medical Society. He is also a member of the American Society of Law, Medicine
and Ethics, the New York Academy of Science, and the American Association for
the Advancement of Science.
