RICHMOND, BC, Oct. 12 /CNW/ - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd.
(TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today
that it has received a multi-million dollar contract from Ontario Power
Generation (OPG) to replace the information solution that has monitored
performance of the pressure tubes in CANDU reactors at the Pickering,
Darlington, Bruce, Pt. Lepreau and Gentilly 2 Nuclear Generating Stations.
The company will supply upgraded systems to control the sophisticated
Channel Inspection & Gauging Apparatus for Reactors (CIGAR). In addition, the
company will deliver a test platform used for operator and maintenance
