OTTAWA, June 17 /CNW Telbec/ - With a 25% increase in staff in the first
5 months of the year and continued growth expected throughout 2008, McMillan
has appointed three new directors to broaden its management team:
- Steve Shock has been appointed Director, Interactive Services.
- Randy Allan has been promoted to Director, Strategic Services.
- John Collins has been promoted to Director, Writing Services.
Steve Shock, a veteran of the Toronto interactive scene, joined McMillan
in January of last year as a member of the client services team, working on
several interactive accounts, including Bridgewater Systems, CA, Canada Post,
and Dun & Bradstreet. His combination of leadership skills, client services
acumen, and deep understanding of the interactive space made him a natural
candidate to manage a fast-growing interactive team, which now accounts for
almost 50% of McMillan billings.
Beyond developing marketing communications strategies for clients such as
CA, D&B, and the Canadian Medical Association, Randy Allan will now manage the
McMillan strategy team and work with Rob Hyams, Partner and VP Strategic
Services, to further expand McMillan's strategic capabilities.
John Collins has already doubled the size of the McMillan writing
practice since being named manager two years ago. His new mandate will be to
respond to the increasing number of clients who are looking to McMillan not
only for assistance with integrated marketing campaigns but also to apply our
knowledge of their brand to deeper content-oriented undertakings such as
annual reports, product demos, and white papers.
"Growth can be a challenge to manage while still maintaining a strong
corporate culture," remarked Gordon McMillan, President and Chief Creative
Officer. "It's so gratifying to have strong individuals who already live our
culture join the management team."
McMillan is a creative agency focused on taking its clients' brands from
where they are to where they ought to be. McMillan works with a portfolio of
international and Canadian clients, including Adobe, CA, Canada Post, Canadian
Medical Association, Dun & Bradstreet, Intuit, Microsoft, and Oracle.
