McGuinty Liberals fail people of Toronto

TORONTO, April 5 /CNW/ - McGuinty Liberals will spend their morning
confronting Toronto's transit users. Here's what people have been saying about
Dalton McGuinty's Don't Believe it Budget and how it fails Torontonians:

"This budget is an extremely disappointing one for the city of
Toronto," - Toronto Mayor David Miller on Dalton McGuinty's election
budget, National Post, March 23, 2007

"For Toronto? Nothing. Thanks for coming out. Uploading social programs
and provincial drug benefits from the city to the province as had been
hoped? Forget about it.... Toronto doesn't deserve to be hammered like
this." - Rob Granatstein, Toronto Sun, March 25, 2007

"Toronto also was disappointed on public transit... Queen's Park has not
restored its share of operating funding to the Toronto Transit
Commission, which was cut by the Conservatives. Without such funding,
service and long-term planning will continue to suffer." - Toronto Star,
    March 25, 2007

"It's a terrible budget for the city - it leaves the budget next week in
crisis. There are no solutions and we are hundreds of millions of dollars
in the hole. We got zero. Nada. Bupkis. Goose eggs. Absolutely nothing.
And the city's in a lot of trouble." - Toronto Councillor Denzil Minnan
Wong, York Guardian, March 22, 2007

Toronto NDP MPP Michael Prue says, "Dalton McGuinty has failed the people
of Toronto. Today's hard-working families deserve property tax relief and real
support for municipal services. Mr. McGuinty didn't do anything about it
except give himself a $40,000 raise."
