TORONTO, Oct. 3 /CNW/ - EcoMedia Direct Incorporated today announced that

Vaughan, Ontario, has sponsored 80 SilverBox(R) Public Space Recycling(TM)
Street Art units, to demonstrate its commitment to protecting the environment,

"We consider this multi-year sponsorship commitment as a major milestone,
and a step towards our continuous efforts to improve the landscape of our
city," said Erich Genseberger, CEO of EcoMedia Direct.
"This initiative clearly establishes that we are not just an ordinary
outdoor media company but, even more so, that we are focused on environmental
protection as well as providing an essential service to the City of Toronto
and its citizens. EcoMedia Direct has emerged and taken its multi-year
agreement with The City of Toronto very seriously," Genseberger said.
According to Fred Jaekel, CEO of Martinrea International, "Part of our
company culture is to be continuously evolving with new programs and
leading-edge products, as well as always keeping the positive impact of the
environment as one of our top priorities."
Rob Wildeboer, Chairman of Martinrea International added, "We believe
this program is money well invested since this underlines our commitment to
protect the environment for our employees, our customers and our investors.
Our City has been good to us, and it is important to give back to our
community. We certainly hope that by taking a leadership role in the Street
Art Recycling Bin Program to beautify our streets and protect the environment
that we will serve as an example for other large corporations to follow and
get involved in this important, and very much needed, eco-friendly program."
"The RCO commends EcoMedia Direct for integrating environmental benefits
through this Street Art Program. The investment made by both of these
companies demonstrates their leadership in providing Public Space Recycling,
the beautification of the City's streets, and to raising awareness with this
innovative program. With this major announcement with Martinrea International,
the program has been elevated to a whole new level - we applaud the combined
efforts of EcoMedia Direct and Martinrea," said Jo-Anne St.Godard, Executive
Director of the Recycling Council of Ontario.
