Marathon Drilling Extends Strike Length of High-Grade W Horizon by 175 meters

TORONTO, March 20 /CNW/ - Marathon PGM Corporation ("Marathon" or "the
Company") is pleased to announce that drilling has extended the north-south
strike length of the high-grade W horizon by 175 meters. Drilling intersected
the high-grade W horizon both within and outside of the resource pitshell at
the Marathon Project, located 10-km northwest of Marathon, Ontario.

    - intersections in multiple holes confirm total north-south strike
length of the high-grade W horizon as 1,175 meters
    - drillhole M-08-425 intersected 3.37 g/t PGM and Au and 0.21% Cu over
        6 meters
    - holes M-08-424 and M-08-425 intersected the W Horizon and are within
        the resource pitshell
    - these results are closing drilling gaps within the resource and will
reduce the amount of waste mining while increasing the resource size

David Good, VP of Exploration, said "Based on copper to palladium ratios
and stratigraphic continuity, we've confirmed a 17% increase in W horizon
strike length. This is an important interpretation as it increases the
potential of finding more high-grade shoots as we increase drillhole density."
Phillip Walford, President and CEO noted, "Drilling results from Marathon
to date demonstrate that the resource is still open, particularly the high
grade W horizon. I expect that our program of drilling will continue for the
next five months or more."

    Current Drilling
Drilling is currently focused in areas where low density of drilling
resulted in a minimum of modeled resource material. Considering these areas
are within the current resource pitshell, much of the contained rock was
considered waste. Mineralization discovered through drilling will likely
convert the waste to resource.
All of the samples were sent to Accurassay, an accredited laboratory in
Thunder Bay, Ontario, to be assayed using fire assay and other standard

    About Marathon PGM Corporation

Marathon is in the process of completing a definitive feasibility study
on the Marathon PGM-Cu deposit. Marathon also has development and exploration
stage properties in southeastern Manitoba and western Newfoundland and
Labrador. Marathon's management plans to build on this focus through the
advancement of its properties, focusing on resource development and by
examining other strategic PGM and base metal opportunities within Canada.
