    CALGARY, Jan. 14 /CNW/ - Maple Leaf Reforestation Inc. ("Maple Leaf")
wishes to announce that Mr. Michael Hu has elected to hand over his
Chairmanship role of Maple Leaf effective January 11, 2008. Mr. Raymond Lai,
the current President & CEO of Maple Leaf will become the Chairman of the
    Maple Leaf's management team and Board members are very pleased that Mr.
Hu will continue as a director of Maple Leaf and will be maintaining his
position as the company's largest shareholder. Since being appointed Chairman
in July of 2007, Mr. Hu has provided Maple Leaf with invaluable commitment and
dedication to assisting with the growth of the company. Maple Leaf's
management team and Board members are extremely grateful for Mr. Hu's
contributions to date. Mr. Hu is most notably acknowledged for his superb
abilities to market Maple Leaf and attract investors to assist with the
company's growth and development. Mr. Lai states that "Mr. Hu has been the
cornerstone of Maple Leaf's access to individual investors. Mr. Hu's
reputation and connection to the investment community are irreplaceable, thus
our company is very lucky to continue to have Mr. Hu on its Board and as our
most prominent shareholder".
