Male Charged with Opium Trafficking



    TORONTO, Aug. 31 /CNW/ - Yesterday, Thursday August 30th, 2007, working
in concert with Canada Border Services Agency, the Toronto Airport Drug
Enforcement Unit arrested and charged one person in relation to Importation
and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking approximately 3.8 kilograms of
Opium.
    Charged is:
    Adel ASGHARIKAMRANI, age 48, of Toronto, Ontario

    The Toronto Airport Drug Enforcement Unit is comprised of law enforcement
personnel from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Peel Regional Police,
Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), Ontario Provincial Police and Toronto
Police Services.

    ASGHARIKAMRANI will appear in Brampton Court for a bail hearing.
