LOTTO QUESTIONS #2 - (more questions worth asking)

HALIFAX, Oct. 2 /CNW/ - In response to our campaign,
Atlantic Lotto vice president Michael Randall says an untendered contract
saved Atlantic Lotto one million dollars.

    We're curious:

    1. Does that mean the untendered contract cost $1 million less than a
        tendered contract would have cost?

Our answer: Atlantic Lotto has given no reason to believe that is

    2. How does Atlantic Lotto know what a tendered contract would have
cost... given that it never issued a call for tenders?

        Our answer: It doesn't.

    3. How can Atlantic Lotto say that a secret deal produced a better price
        than a competitive tender?

        Our answer: It can't.
is a campaign to ensure that Atlantic Lotto never makes
secret, untendered deals again.
