LONG SAULT, ON, Sept. 5 /CNW Telbec/ - The HOTTEST SHOW ON H(2)O is
racing into eastern Ontario this weekend at the Mille Roches Beach in Long
Sault, Ontario! Named the "Race of the Year" by the Canadian Power Boating
Federation, the LONG SAULT HYDROPLANE REGATTA on September 8 and 9 promises to
thrill thousands with high speeds, fire breathing engines and incredible side
by side racing manoeuvres. The racing program will run each day from 11:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The program will feature more than 110 inboard and outboard hydroplanes.
New this year is the Grand Prix Class - where boats travel at speeds of over
250 km/h, taking the races to a whole new level. Race classes include the
Grand Prix Class, 5 litre stock, 2.5 litre stock, 2.5 litre modified and 1.5
litre stock. The combination of both inboard and outboard hydroplanes allows
the showing of more than 15 different classes of outboards and three classes
of inboards that will fill the program with 30 races per day.
Tickets are just $12 per person or $20 for a weekend pass; special rates
for campers are $10 per person or $15 for a weekend pass. Children under 12
