Local Ottawa author releases first horror thriller

OTTAWA, June 18 /CNW Telbec/ - Ottawa native Gabriel Godard teaches
photography at St. Joseph High School in Barrhaven by day and writes horror
thrillers by night.
Jars of Nails begins in the 1980s, in Junction City, a small, rural
community two hours outside of Kansas City. It follows four troublesome boys -
Cory Blake, Jeff Brooks, Chris Tate, and Michael Thomson - known as the
Junction City Four. Always together and always causing trouble, their bond
remains strong as they grow into manhood. When one of the four begins to
psychologically unravel, he starts a killing spree that throws the men into a
tailspin of uncertainty, fear, and horror. The book gets its title Jars of
Nails from one of this character's psychotic obsessions, revealed during the
shocking conclusion.
Jars of Nails is a truly personal novel - which unnerves the author's
wife and family in its intensity and twisted plot. The jacket cover actually
features the author standing in front of a large rock brandishing a knife
wearing a sweater knit by his sister.
The author will be on hand signing copies of his book at Indigo in
Barrhaven June 23, 2007 from 1 - 4 p.m.
