FCMAs: leading successful enterprises, enriching Ontario communities
TORONTO, Oct. 29 /CNW/ - CMA Ontario, and its 20,000 members, is proud to
announce that Ruth Liebersbach, CMA, of Etobicoke, Ontario, has been appointed
as one of twenty new Fellows of The Society of Management Accountants of
The FCMA designation is a prestigious honour awarded to Certified
Management Accountants (CMA) who, through their outstanding achievements,
bring distinction to the management accounting profession and serve as a role
model for others.
Ms. Liebersbach is CFO of Andlauer Management Group Inc. and one of its
newly acquired holdings, the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Club, which has already
turned a profit of $1 million in only its first operating year. The latest
success story with Ms. Liebersbach's track record of nurturing and expanding
financial growth, she was previously with Carstar Automotive Canada, where she
took an eight-store organization and created a 115-store franchise chain.
Ms. Liebersbach's financial and managerial abilities have also been
demonstrated through her work with the Society. Since 2001, she has been an
active member of the Hamilton Sub Committee (affiliated with the Midwestern
Ontario District) and has actively promoted the CMA designation at McMaster
Ms. Liebersbach's community volunteer efforts are varied and extensive.
She has lent her CMA expertise to such causes as the Hamilton Chamber of
Commerce (Finance Committee Chair), the Rotary Club of Hamilton (Literacy
Committee Chair) and the Hamilton and District Chamber of Commerce. She has
volunteered for other causes related to preserving community heritage.
The FCMA designation demonstrates excellence in management accounting,
commitment to CMA Ontario, and a civic mindedness that brings community
