Les Entrées en scène Loto-Québec: a remarkable beginning - The 2009-2010 Québec tour: 102 performances in 60 cities

    MONTREAL, Aug. 20 /CNW Telbec/ - Les Entrées en scène Loto-Québec present
a 2009-2010 tour with 102 performances in 78 halls. Sixty Québec cities will
play host to the four touring artists and groups: Alexandra "Spicey" Landé,
Denis Chang, La Patère Rose and Théâtre A l'Envers, whose promising talent and
strong artistic stage presence stood out during the February 2009 Bourse
RIDEAU auditions.
In creating Les Entrées en scène Loto-Québec, Loto-Québec's societal
commitment department and RIDEAU (Réseau indépendant des diffuseurs
d'événement artistiques unis) bet on positive tour spin-offs throughout
Québec, as much for the artists, producers and agents as the performance
networks and their members and, of course, for the public. A tour of this size
confirms the bet was a winning one!
Another objective was to offer multi-discipline performances, and in fact
the Entrées en scène Loto-Québec 2009-2010 tour will offer the public dance
performances by Alexandra "Spicey" Landé, music with Denis Chang, song with La
Patère Rose and theatre with Théâtre A l'Envers.
This success rests on three pillars: Loto-Québec's financial involvement,
RIDEAU's expertise in traveling shows and the on-the-ground organizational
capabilities of participating network members. The networks involved are Accès
Culture, ADICIM, Objectif Scène, Réseau Centre, ROSEQ, Réseau Scènes and
Spectour. Together, they cover 15 regions of Québec and constitute a body of
unparalleled traveling show tools.

This association of Loto-Québec, the network of performance organizers
and RIDEAU under a single Les Entrées en scène Loto-Québec banner aims at
encouraging regional creative work. It is obviously a source of financial
support for emerging talent, but it also ensures that the artists selected for
the tour can benefit from established hosting structures run by well-organized
groups of performance professionals. As for the public, which is the raison
d'être for RIDEAU, it can enjoy new and diversified works presented in a
quality setting!
