Support for Absolute's industry standard computer theft recovery services
is now included with all of Lenovo's ThinkPad(R) and 3000 Notebook Series
VANCOUVER, March 6 /CNW/ - Absolute(R) Software Corporation, the leading
provider of firmware-based, patented Computer Theft Recovery, Data Protection
and Secure Asset Tracking(TM) solutions, announces that all new Lenovo(TM)
3000 series notebook computers are shipping with Computrace(R) support
embedded in the BIOS.
Effective immediately, the Lenovo 3000 C Series, N Series and V Series
notebooks which feature the Microsoft(R) Windows Vista(TM) operating system
will have BIOS-level support for Absolute Software's Computrace computer
tracking solution. The Computrace agent will be shipped turned off, and can be
activated by customers when they purchase a subscription to Absolute's
Computrace(R) LoJack(R) for Laptops service.
