A guilty plea was entered in the Lanaudière region for an offence that
occurred in Saint-Calixte, from May 20 to 25, 2007.
As the official representative of the Vision Saint-Calixte party,
Mr Pierre Séguin failed to file the financial report of the party with the
treasurer of the municipality before April 1, 2007, as required under section
479 of the AERM. In so doing, Mr Séguin committed the offence outlined in
section 626 of this Act.

him and paid a $250, plus costs.

    Montérégie Region

The second guilty plea was entered in the Montérégie, more specifically
in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. The offence occurred from May 13 to 18, 2007,
following the municipal election of November 6, 2005.
As the official representative of Mr Jean Benoît, an authorized
independent candidate, Mrs Jacquie Cardinal failed to file with the treasurer
of the town an additional financial report within the prescribed deadline of
April 1, 2007. She thus violated section 485 of the AERM and committed the
offence outlined in section 626 of the Act.
Mrs Cardinal pleaded guilty last July 12th and paid a $250 fine plus
costs.

    Montréal Region

Finally, a violation of the AERM was committed in Kirkland, in the
Montréal region. The offence occurred from May 20 to 25, 2007, following the
municipal election of November 6, 2005.
As the official representative of Mr Peter Harding, an authorized
independent candidate, Mr Brent Pearce failed to file with the treasurer of
the town an additional financial report within the prescribed deadline of
April 1, 2007. He thus violated section 485 of the AERM and committed the
