Leaders from Across Canada Agree on One Issue: Canadians need to Reconnect with Family by Sharing a Meal and Enjoying Quality Time Together!

    TORONTO, Sept. 12 /CNW/ - Canada's political leaders from coast-to-coast
have come to the table to support the same great cause: spending quality time
with family and friends for M&M Meat Shop's fourth-annual National Family
Dinner Night, which takes place this Thursday, September 18, 2008. Prime
Minister Stephen Harper, The Governor General Michaelle Jean, Stéphane Dion,
Leader of the Opposition, eight Canadian Premiers, and Mayors from North
Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Moncton are among 109 dignitaries who have
already voiced their support.
This event is rallying Canadians to celebrate what matters most - time
with the people who matter most in their lives - while raising money for a
good cause. M&M Meat Shops will make a $1 donation to the Crohn's and Colitis
Foundation of Canada (CCFC) for everyone who registers their pledge to
participate in National Family Dinner Night at www.mmmeatshops.com or
www.nationalfamilydinnernight.com - up to a total of $100,000!
"We are thrilled that Canada's community leaders are encouraging busy
families to reconnect by spending quality time together, talking and sharing
around the dinner table," says Mac Voisin, Founder of M&M Meat Shops. "In
addition to our political leaders, National Family Dinner Night also has the
support of Canadians, with more than 30,000 families signing up last year. We
want to make this year even bigger and get more Canadians around the dinner
