Large selection of late-model equipment, real estate in upcoming Ritchie Bros. Edmonton auction

More than 2,300 construction, transportation and oilfield items
from dispersals, realignments and fleet management

    EDMONTON, Nov. 27 /CNW/ - On December 13 & 14, 2007, Ritchie Bros.
Auctioneers will sell more than 2,300 equipment and real estate assets to the
highest bidders attending an unreserved public auction at its permanent sale
site in Nisku (Edmonton), Alberta. In addition to a large selection of
late-model earthmoving and oilfield transportation equipment, more than 60
recreational, industrial and commercial properties in Alberta and Saskatchewan
will be sold in the public auction. Equipment highlights include a 2007
Kenworth C500B T/A T/A bed truck, two 2006 Cat 950H wheel loaders, a 2006 Cat
160H motor grader, a 2006 John Deere 450D LC hydraulic excavator, and two 2006
Cat 815F compactors.
"This will be our fifth Edmonton auction in 2007, and it includes the
biggest lineup of late-model equipment we've seen all year," said Brian Glenn,
Ritchie Bros. Regional Manager. "There is an excellent selection of equipment
for the oilfield transportation, construction and earthmoving industries, as
well as a diverse selection of real estate - and everything will be sold to
the highest bidders on auction day, regardless of price."
Alberta property highlights in the auction include 320+/- acres of
agricultural/recreational land in Stettler County, near Red Deer; a 14-unit
apartment building in Grassland, close to the highway that connects Edmonton
and Fort McMurray; 52.7+/- acres of commercial property with exceptional
highway visibility in Peace River; and two heavy industrial properties, with
shops, in Coronation. Also being sold: 56 recreational/residential leasehold
sites in Thomson Lake Regional Park, Saskatchewan, including 10 with lake
frontage and 20 with lake views.
Pioneer Truck Lines Ltd., a family-run, Edmonton-based oilfield
transportation service company, is selling the two Coronation properties and
almost 60 other items in the auction, including office trailers, winch
tractors, bed trucks and lowboys. The company has been buying and selling
equipment at Ritchie Bros. auctions for 20 years.
"We're winding down our rig moving division to focus more heavily on the
other parts of our business," said Dale Dubinsky of Pioneer. "This is
well-maintained, late-model, specialized oilfield transportation equipment -
it's ready to go to work. The Coronation properties have good access and
highway visibility, and would be an ideal location for a construction or
transportation company. We chose Ritchie Bros. for this dispersal because we
trust them."
The unreserved auction starts at 8 a.m. on Thursday, December 13 and
Friday, December 14, 2007, at the Ritchie Bros. auction site in Edmonton (1500
Sparrow Drive, Nisku). Properties will be sold on Day One (December 13). A
live auction simulcast of the real estate portion of the auction will be held
at Parrish Hall in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan (No. 114 1st Avenue West).
Interested bidders can also bid over the internet, live and in real time,
using the Ritchie Bros. online bidding service, rbauctionBid-Live.
Like all Ritchie Bros. auctions, the auction will be completely
unreserved-meaning there are no minimum bids or reserve prices. Registration
is free. Further details about the auction, including photos of real estate
