    EDMONTON, April 15 /CNW/ - More than 3,500 equipment and real estate
items will be sold to the highest bidders at an unreserved Ritchie Bros.
Auctioneers public auction being held at the Company's permanent auction site
in Nisku (Edmonton), Alberta from Tuesday April 28 to Thursday, April 30,
2009. The public auction starts each day at 8am local time and features a
large selection of equipment from more than 350 consignors as well as
residential and agricultural properties located in Saskatchewan, Alberta and
British Columbia.
    "This auction includes one of the best lineups of late-model equipment
that we've seen in quite some time," said Jake Lawson, Ritchie Bros. Regional
Manager. "There is a variety of equipment for the oil and gas, construction,
agricultural and transportation industries, as well as a good selection of
real estate, all of which will be sold to the highest bidders on auction day,
regardless of price."
    The auction includes more than 100 hydraulic excavators, 85 crawler
tractors, 60 motor scrapers, 45 motor graders, 45 wheel loaders, and a variety
of transportation and agricultural equipment, including more than 90 truck
tractors, and 45 agricultural tractors. The sale also includes consumer items,
such as a helicopter, electric golf carts, exercise equipment, a fifth wheel
trailer, recreational vehicles and pickup trucks.
    "There really is something for everyone at this auction," adds Lawson.
    The real estate is being sold during Day Two (April 29, 2009) of the
Edmonton auction includes:

    - A 1,211+/- sq ft, two-bedroom penthouse suite with ocean and mountain
      views in the Trumpeter's Landing development in
      Courtenay, British Columbia

    - (8) 19+/- acre residential acreage lots & (2) 80+/- acre parcels of
      farmland in Estevan, Saskatchewan

    - 160+/- acres of farmland with river frontage in SK/RM Torch River
      No.488 in Nipawin, Saskatchewan

    - 3 residential lots in Forestburg, Alberta

    The three-day unreserved auction is being held at the Ritchie Bros.
auction site in Edmonton (1500 Sparrow Drive, Nisku). Interested bidders can
bid in-person at the Edmonton auction site, or live and in real time via the
internet, or can place a proxy bid (call the auction site for more

selling of the properties at the Days Inn (Taylorton Room) at 1305 9th Street
in Estevan, SK on Day Two of the auction.
