Landscape Ontario Toronto Chapter's greening of High Park

TORONTO, April 17 /CNW/ - Toronto-Volunteers from the Toronto Chapter of
Landscape Ontario will pick up trash and help beautify High Park using
compostable bags on Earth Day, Wednesday April 22nd. "Everyone should do their
part to beautify our city's green spaces on Earth Day", says Arvils Lukss,
President of Landscapes by Lucin and a board member of Landscape Ontario.
"It's a great way to give back to the community and celebrate the one day each
year that we pay tribute to our planet. As landscaping professionals, we
believe that Toronto has a wealth of exquisite, natural habitats. We should
take pride in preserving and beautifying these habitats as they are enjoyed by
families, walkers, joggers, dog lover and everyone else who likes to
experience green space during the warm months".
From 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. on April 22nd, Landscape Ontario members will
be hard at work in High Park. The first 50 people who drop in to say hello to
the clean-up crew will receive a FREE flower bulb ready for fall planting,
adds Arvils Lukss.
"Flowers, gardens and green environments add to the aesthetic enjoyment
of our city. I'm lucky to be in a profession where I am creating spaces and
environments that make people happy. I hope that Torontonians will show their
support and join us in High Park on Earth Day".
