Konftel Launches the Conference Phone of the Future

UMEA, SWEDEN, November 27 /CNW/ - Konftel, Europe's leading supplier of
conference phones, is launching the Konftel 300--a high-tech phone with many
innovative features, such as a conference guide, flexible connectivity, the
ability to record meetings, and a wireless headset connection. The Konftel 300
is equipped with an upgraded version of Konftel's OmniSound(R) technology,
which has evolved to fit large meeting rooms. "Our goal was to create the
world's best conference phone," says Peter Renkel, Konftel's CEO.

Development of the Konftel 300 is based on thorough investigations into
the features users wanted in a conference phone.

"Our research shows that phone meetings will increase in the future
because they save time, money, and the environment, but we also know that many
users are demanding more from their conference phones," says Renkel.

Besides good sound, users also want it to be easier to make multi-party
calls, so the Konftel 300 has a conference guide that simplifies that task.
The conference guide can store up to 20 groups, simplifying recurring phone
meetings, but it also guides you when calling individual numbers.

Besides analog lines, the Konftel 300 can be connected to cell phones and
wireless phones, and to computers via a USB port. A line selector makes it
easy to switch and combine connection methods.

"The Internet and cell phones have changed the way people communicate and
we bore that in mind when we developed the Konftel 300," says Renkel.

Software upgrades and other options give the Konftel 300 powerful sound
in large meeting rooms and auditoriums. Expansion microphones that double the
reception area can be connected, as well as a wireless headset. These are
useful options for lectures and also for persons with hearing impairments. The
Konftel 300 can also be connected to an existing PA system.

The phone supports SD memory cards, making it possible to record and play
back meetings. Since the memory card can be moved to a computer, sound files
can be played back, saved, or emailed.

"We've made the Konftel 300 future proof," says Renkel. "New functions
will be developed regularly and will be downloadable from our website."

The Konftel 300 has a new Scandinavian design and is equipped with
OmniSound(R) 2.0--the latest version of Konftel's patented OmniSound(R)
technology. OmniSound(R) 2.0 uses a 360 degree microphone, three speakers, and
advanced software to create the most lifelike sound possible. The technology
automatically filters out disturbing background noise and gives a frequency
range of up to 7 kHz depending on the connection. OmniSound(R) 2.0 also has an
equalizer so users can adjust the sound themselves, selecting from three
different pitches: soft, neutral, and hard.

The Konftel 300 will be available in Europe on November 26 and North
America on December 17.
