VANCOUVER, Aug. 6 /CNW/ - Keewatin Windpower Corp. and Sky Harvest
Windpower Corp. are pleased to participate in the Saskatchewan Wind Power
Integration and Development study. At the invitation of Saskpower the
companies have provided their data to Genivar, a Calgary based engineering
firm, who will conduct the study on behalf of the utilities.
Chris Craddock, C.E.O. and President of Keewatin, says "By cooperating
with Saskpower and submitting our data we are assisting them in their efforts
to define a productive plan for wind power in Saskatchewan. We will continue
to engineer our projects so as to be ready for any request from Saskpower for
Sky Harvest is entering into engineering studies with Genivar that will
define project costs with current market conditions. Turbine prices, road
construction costs, electrical collection and transmission costs are among the
priorities. Work is scheduled for mid October to cooperate with local land
owner's harvest requirements.
Keewatin is proceeding with the acquisition of Sky Harvest pending the
completion of an audit and fairness opinion of the transaction.
