    WINNIPEG, Aug. 23 /CNW/ - MTS Allstream Inc. ("MTS Allstream") customers
can now download Windows Live(TM) Messenger to their MTS Mobility cell phones.
This popular instant messaging service, often referred to as "MSN Messenger",
allows users to communicate in real-time with friends and family on their
computers. Now MTS Mobility customers can stay connected with their Windows
Live Messenger contacts no matter where they are.
    "MTS Mobility customers are now connecting with contacts on the go," said
Stan Kurtas, Vice-President Marketing, Consumer Markets, MTS Allstream. "This,
together with our other wireless services, gives MTS Mobility customers an
additional way to keep in touch with friends and family."
    Windows Live Messenger is available through MTS Mobility, MTS Allstream's
wireless network covering 97% of the Manitoba population, on the Samsung m500,
a640, a900 and LG 150, 3300 cellular phones, with more phones to come. With
Windows Live Messenger, MTS Mobility customers can add new friends to their
contact list; send, receive and reply to instant messages; add emoticons, like
'smileys' in messages; change their status; and check the status of contacts.
    Customers can download Windows Live Messenger directly to their MTS
Mobility cell phones or visit getstuff.mts.ca for download instructions.
Windows Live Messenger requires a $5.00 monthly subscription, and applicable
Mobile Browser(TM) charges will apply.
