Jeremy Langlois - Guest Chef at the Mac's Rotonde - During the Jazz Festival

    MONTREAL, June 21 /CNW Telbec/ - During the Jazz Festival, La Rotonde
will have a guest chef all the way from Louisiana! Jeremy Langlois of Latil's
Landing Restaurant at Houma's House Plantation will preside over the kitchen
( For this occasion, the restaurant
and its terrace will be open for lunch and dinner. Why not take this
opportunity to enjoy a privileged front-row seat at the Festival and savour a
cuisine that goes back to the origins of jazz.
    There's something else new at La Rotonde this summer. In addition to its
table d'hôte, the restaurant will be offering a bistro menu, starting at
$13.95, cooked up by its chef Jacques Batby: a plate of smoked salmon or
chicken liver mousse as an entrée; a variety of salads: Niçoise, Cajun,
chicken liver, warm goat cheese or fresh garden salad with salmon and shrimps;
fish terrine; barbecued brochettes; and an assortment of sandwiches on
baguette. With a prime location on the Place des Arts promenade, the terrace
is at the hub of Montréal's festivals and downtown life, but set just far
enough back from St. Catherine Street for greater privacy. The decor: an urban
garden tucked between two ornamental pools. The ambience: contemporary, of
course. The clientele: mixed. Festival-goers and tourists rub shoulders with
professionals from the nearby offices. Capacity: 80 seats on the terrace, the
same number inside. The greeting: warm and personal, by owner Sabine Voignier.
    Take this opportunity to visit the Sculpture Garden. Essentially an
outdoor exhibition gallery, the Garden offers a selection of splendid
sculptures and installations from the museum's Collection. If you prefer, you
