It's a Sporting Life for Aerofoam Metals Inc. - Sports and Recreation Applications Planned

announcing that it plans to commit the required enterprise resources to take
advantage of specific application opportunities in the sport and recreation
"There are some "pet" application products within the sport and
recreation field that we have been considering for some time now and we feel
so passionate about these applications that we want to commit the resources to
get them to market" said Paul Colacci, President and Head of Product
    The three application areas are: sub-flooring for gymnasium floors;
inserts for hockey sticks; and decking systems for the recreational boating
The energy absorption capability of Aerometal(TM) makes it an ideal
material solution as an underpad to gymnasium flooring. "We think that our
material will provide greater energy absorption and hence less stress on leg
joints and muscles for any sport played on a gymnasium floor - basketball and
volleyball particularly" said Mr. Colacci. "With so much invested in
professional players these days as well as ensuring student athletes remain
healthy, we think our material could reduce the stress on the joints thereby
reducing injuries; lengthen careers; and perhaps reduce the costs of insuring
the athletes."
To help reduce mid-stick breakage of hockey sticks, Aerofoam has designed
an insert to provide more strength and reduce the number of broken sticks. The
Aerometal(TM) material is lightweight and the added material insert will not
likely be noticed by hockey players and extending the useful life of a hockey
stick would be an attractive feature for amateur players and their families
looking to reduce the total costs of playing the sport.
"People forget that Aerometal(TM) is waterproof and that it floats!" Paul
Colacci said. "We see the marine industry as a large opportunity target for us
and specifically the recreational boating market - like party/pontoon boats.
Our paneling would be perfect for decking because it is waterproof and because
of floatation there will be many other applications for our Aerometal(TM) in
the recreational area - water-skis and accessories, buoys, floats. It's a
large industry and market. Lots of applications for us.
"And so, the sport and recreation market will get a lot of our attention
and energies as we fulfill our pet projects. We're all sport fans and former
athletes - very former - here at Aerofoam and these types of opportunities are
a lot of fun."

in the automotive, defense, and aerospace industries.
Products made from Aerometal(TM) maintain the physical characteristics of
pure aluminum but at less density and weight. Product applications can be
customized for specific densities as required and enables the use of
Aerometal(TM) as a preferred material because of the properties of aluminum.
Products made from Aerometal(TM) offer substantial material benefits such
as strength, durability, water resistance, energy/impact/blast absorption,
resistance to mold, resistance to termites and rodents, ease of use, thermal
conductivity, and electromagnetic (EMI) shielding, to name a few.
Aerofoam is marketing Aerometal(TM) on a global basis in a variety of
manufacturing and industrial sectors and customers to integrate the use of
