IOC Coordination Commission for 2010 Winter Games holds fifth meeting in Vancouver

    VANCOUVER, Sept. 10 /CNW/ - The International Olympic Committee's (IOC)
Coordination Commission for the 2010 Winter Games will be in Vancouver this
week for a three-day working session. The session will serve as an opportunity
for the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic
Winter Games (VANOC) to provide the Commission with an update on Games
preparations to date.
    The Coordination Commission for Vancouver 2010 is led by René Fasel. A

    During the visit, the following media opportunities are scheduled:

    - Photo Opportunity of opening remarks

    Participants will not be conducting media interviews at this time
    Tuesday, September 11, 2007 - 10:10 am to 10:20 am
    VANOC Offices (3585 Graveley Street, Vancouver)

    This availability will provide an opportunity for cameras to capture the
opening remarks of the 5th meeting of the IOC Coordination Commission for the
2010 Winter Games. Commission members will not be available for interviews,
however VANOC will record audio of the opening remarks and will provide
digital files to interested journalists.

    - IOC News Conference

    Thursday, September 13, 2007 - 12 pm (noon) to 1:00 pm
    VANOC Offices (3585 Graveley Street, Vancouver)

    At a news conference to close the 5th Coordination Commission session,
the IOC will report on the three days of work with VANOC and partners. Media
interested in attending the news conference are asked to RSVP to by 5 pm on September 11, 2007.

    Note: There is limited visitor parking available at VANOC Campus 2010.
    Please also ensure to bring proper identification.
