Invitation to the media - An international first at the CHUM - First patient to undergo a new procedure in the scope of a study on heart attack treatment

    MONTREAL, Dec. 18 /CNW Telbec/ - The Centre hospitalier de l'Université
de Montréal (CHUM) invites media representatives to the unveiling of a
phase II randomized double-blind trial with the potential of providing a
therapeutic alternative after a first acute myocardial infarction.

    Dr. Guy Leclerc, Chief of the Cardiology Service and co-investigator, le
Dr. Samer Mansour, principal investigator, and Dr. Denis R. Roy, Director
General of the CHUM.

    The other co-investigators will also be present:

    Dr. Nicolas Noiseux, cardiac surgeon (CHUM);
    Dr. François Reeves, cardiologist CHUM);
    Dr. Denis-Claude Roy, hematologist, Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont and
    Director, Hôpital-Maisonneuve-Rosemont Research Centre.

    It will be possible to interview the investigators and the patient who
underwent the procedure.
