TORONTO, Aug. 15 /CNW/ - The problems in the U.S. subprime mortgage
market have recently begun to spread into liquidity declines in other areas of
the world financial system. In Canada, some trusts and companies in the
asset-backed securities markets have also experienced liquidity problems and
price declines. The manager of Investment Grade Trust wishes to assure its
investors that Investment Grade Trust has no direct exposure to the U.S.
mortgage market or to the asset backed security markets. The vast majority of
debt securities that the Trust has exposure to are either provincial
governments or high quality corporations. The NAV of the Trust has been
stable, and in fact has gone up recently.
